In order to let the corporate and business community to experience the beauty of Silat as an art of self defence as well as performance art, Bunga is conceived
Rather than just letting it be another Malay focused programme, Andhika Pramuthya felt that the programme itself needs to have pizzas enough so as to be a news headliner event of sorts
Although there will be talks, forums and perhaps workshops in regards to Silat, its management and challenges, the main focus of the programme will be the sharp and beautifully choreographed group performances from modern dances groups as well as the more traditional Silat only focused groups. Both will challenge themselves to showcase their best moves and choices of music to go with their numbers. Aimed to be a competition of sorts, its a way to reward all the resources that goes into completing the arduous tasks of choreographing all the moves and dance sequences
Along with the main attraction of the event, the side programs will include traditional Malay attires’ full regalia and accessories fair along with a Runaway Project inspired event that will highlight the works of stylists or designers, young and new, upon the subject of bringing Malay attires to new heights and modernity. We look forward to see fresh new combinations of materials and technology and of course patterns we’ve never seen before in their designs or stylings. Nothing weird, but something along haute couture marries common wears sensibilities, pleasing to soul and eyes
