Angin

The Kelantaneses have unique sense of ways to interpret and use the word Angin. Rather than just the more mainstream and also modernly understood meaning of Angin aka Winds, the Kelantaneses has also associated Angin with inner talents, predispositions and one’s innate inclinations

In modern words, the areas of talents, what we like or what we’re drawn to is basically lumped into the Angin categories of meanings

Add to that, the spirits, or the Rohs, that inhibits the bodies of man and women, as well as spirits known as Jins, the other beings that can’t be seen, made out of fire predominantly

It is said, the Kelantaneses believes that Angins affect our daily lives, perhaps destinies as well as how successful or calamitous it can be. The Kelantaneses believes in understanding the one own’s Angins and rather than just let it be, get attuned with it, and understands how it affects, as well as supports our current livings

The tree popular main Angins, closely associated with Main Tteri rituals are Angin Dewa Muda, Angin Hala and Angin Raja Penchil. These Angins basically tells about predominant features or inclinations that most of us have, but not all, understandably

Having talents or innate inclinations towards anything mechanical might be associated with Angins with that definition and the lists goes on. We do not have to restrict our minds regarding Angins to just the Kelantanese or Malay names. Definitely not

As some humans are born with great inclinations for bodily movements or kinesthetics, some are more drawn towards rhythmical induced bodily orchestrated movements such as dances, though many more enjoys free flow of consciousness type of dances aka dancing from the heart without sets of rules or patterns, as long as it brings happiness to the said dancer

Failing to attend to the said Angins, for example, in the cases pertaining to the Dancing Angins, means build ups of pent up, intrinsic angers and frustration that could very well harms the person, in body and mind later

Managing Angins means timely tending and careful embracement of its natures and inclinations

These beautiful wisdoms brought down by our ancestors should not be frown upon. If understood and adapted well enough, it could very well proof its usefulness in organisation wide settings to trump up not just business performances, but the humane side of it
